27.11.2014 - Events
Francine Houben will attend the Business of Design Week (BODW) in Hong Kong to give a lecture on December 6th for the session ‘Culture & the City’. In the lecture ‘People, Place, Purpose’ she will present her creative expression, based on these three elements and take listeners along the designs for the Library of Birmingham in the UK (2013), the Wei Wu Ying Centre for the Arts, Kaohsiung in Taiwan (2016) and the Bruce C. Bolling Municipal Building in Boston, US (2015).
BODW is organised by the Hong Kong Design Centre and regarded as Asia’s leading annual event on design, innovation and brands. Since 2002, the event has been bringing some of the world’s most outstanding design masters and influential business figures to Hong Kong. With their presentations and lectures they inspire the regional audience on creative thinking and design management. The event also acts as a valuable platform for participants to network, exchange ideas and explore business cooperation.
BODW 2014 lasts from 1 to 6 December and features Sweden as partner country. Other speakers include Rem Koolhaas (OMA), Shigeru Ban and Adriaan Geuze (West 8).
