The topping out ceremony of the new premises for Eurojust took place on April 1, 2016. The design for the building and its surrounding landscape reflect the core values of Eurojust, creating a remarkable addition to the international zone in The Hague.
Contractor Heijmans began the construction of the high-rise volume of the new premises Eurojust only half a year ago. Approximately 18.515 m2 of gross floor area has been realised since.
To mark the topping out, Programme Manager Eurojust Jacques Vos symbolically placed a concrete roof panel at a height of 50 metres. On behalf of the Central Government Real Estate Agency and Eurojust, he expressed high appreciation for the building team. Residents of the surrounding neighbourhoods were invited to visit the construction site.
The next milestone for the realisation will be at end of 2016, when construction is expected to complete and Eurojust will move into their new home. New Premises Eurojust is a joint project of the Municipality of The Hague, the national government, Heijmans and Eurojust.
The Design Team consists of RoyalHaskoningDHV and Mecanoo, DS landschaparchitecten designed the landscape.
