The collaboration between Mecanoo and Gispen is one of the three nominated projects of the ARC17 Furniture Awards by Dutch magazine De Architect with HUBB. Other nominees in this category include Mira with Plankstaal and Studio Leon Thier Architectuur/Interieur with a chair design for lecture halls.
HUBB consists of various elements with a seemingly straightforward basic shape which can be linked to form endless combinations and variations within a learning environment. The modular system allows for the reconfiguration of HUBB elements when requirements change, making the collection a highly sustainable future-proof interior solution. HUBB, by Mecanoo and Gispen is part of a larger common vision - Learning Environments.
This award aims to encourage innovation in design furniture and stimulate work environments. The winner will be announced on the 30th of November during the award ceremony in Amsterdam.
