The NYPL Branch Chair designed by Thos. Moser in collaboration with the New York Public Library and Mecanoo won the Architizer A+ Awards, Jury Prize in the category Furnishings-Residential Seating.
The chair is more than just a piece of furniture for its patrons – but also a symbol of the Library, its mission and its vision for the future. The last iconic chair commissioned by The New York Public Library was for the read rooms in the landmark 42nd Street Library in 1911.
