Mecanoo is happy to announce the promotion of Armand Paardekooper Overman and Pieter Hoen to Associate Partner. Armand Paardekooper Overman joined Mecanoo in 2018. His approach in architecture and urbanism is by understanding and using the potential of the challenges we are facing today, the complex nature of our cities and processes. He enjoys the beauty of working from a collective intelligence with universities, start-ups, economists, politicians, entrepreneurs and residents. It results in buildings, cities and landscapes that are inspiring, innovative, socially responsible and widely appreciated and that move faster in contributing to a better future.
Pieter Hoen joined Mecanoo in 2013 as an Urban Planner. Pieter has broad and international experience designing at different scales ranging from the macro scale of cities and parks to the micro scale of local public spaces. Pieter’s designs seek to maximise the relationship between infrastructure, public space and buildings to ensure an inspiring result that promotes strong, healthy and vibrant communities.
